Review of Napoleon Dynamite (2004) by The A — 19 Aug 2014
Napoleon Dynamite has a purposely awkward tone, and while that causes some moments to feel relatively uncomfortable, it makes the ones that hit all the more enjoyable. It's funny and quotable throughout its run, and its payoff allows for one of the most honest to God triumphant climaxes that a film of this sort could offer.
The characters are quirky and memorable, and despite their flaws, each has some sort of lovable charm to them.
