Review of Nanook of the North (1922) by Jeff B — 01 Sep 2007
Amazing documentary made in 1922 following Nanook and his life as an Eskimo. I know some of it was staged, but it was still awesome to watch, because Nanook was still doing the stuff all by himself. It was exciting and intense, I particularly loved the walrus hunt.
It was cool seeing him do things like building an igloo or fishing (which was very cool as well). This is an awesome film that flies by.
