The pioneer of documentary filmmaking. essential viewing for fans of that type of filmmaking. and as opposed to many docs, in my opinion, very interesting. I must say that mr. flaherty certainly had a knack for this.
brilliant photography, great structure, and an interesting subject. some of the scenes verge on comic, but you actually feel as if you really get to know these people. excellent early filmmaking.
