Review of Nanook of the North (1922) by Anthony I — 07 Feb 2014
With groundbreaking outdoors imagery, engaging and filmed with a note of respect and sentimentality, Nanook of the North also has its fair share of problems - the ending is somehow forgettable and contrived and for a film called Nanook, there isn't much of him in the actual movie.
But apart from that, it still remains groundbreaking and influential documentary that does not disappoint.
