Engaging, inventive, funny, sweet, very original updating of the Mary Poppins story, featuring a superb performance from Emma Thompson as a strict nanny hired to reign in a household of unruly children, who becomes more and more beautiful as the children learn to behave.
Eye-poppingly colorful production design and a lovely Patrick Doyle score really help.
