My son ended up being too young for this. It isn't scary or violent or anything. He just lost interest. I, on the other hand, was pleasantly surprised. It's a trifle, but it's fun nonetheless.
I loved the gashish set decorations. I hope to try sharing this with him again when he is a bit older.
