Review of Nanny McPhee (2005) by Allan S — 25 Dec 2010
The minger witch converts the prattish little ones, and the talking baby, into well to do mature young adults; most importantly she gives the father half a brain and sets him up to marry the â~niceâ(TM) one. The characters in this charade are the biggest exaggeration of role-play since Mega Shark made love to Giant Octopus. Yes the film is for a younger generation, a generation younger than Justin Bieberâ(TM)s last inch of hair, but if youâ(TM)re going to make a film that lays on the feel-good vibe, lets not lay it on too thick. Itâ(TM)s like the spew monsterâ(TM)s vomit consists of the Care Bears and upon leaning over the toilet bowl managed to smother the entire Magical Kingdom with EVEN more happiness.
Watching this film on Christmas eve what with its festive vibes is not going to persuade me to give this a better review, itâ(TM)s simply a rubbish film.
