Review of Nanking (2007) by Ernst W — 06 Dec 2007
I was mad about Japanese when I were kid and read about Nanking massacre. Now, I watched the film, I don't really want to blame on Japanese again because it's history and it's not really fair to blame all the Japanese by the history, but I think the behavior that Japanese government nowday still denies and try to cover the truth of history should be judged. They should face it like how German did for their Nazi issues. The film is more like makes me realize how war can make human crazy, the old retired japanese soldier seems not really feel sorry about the behavior that they raped young girls.
I don't like they use actors to act in the film, even they read the diary and letters from John Rabe and Minnie Vautrin, not make up the storys but it still shows some judgement from the actors.
