Review of Nancy Drew (2007) by Jacki C — 25 Jun 2009
I could pull teeth over the acting, the extreme (and rather annoying) characters, the predictable solution to the puzzle, and the inconsistency of little things like school (was she still in school? did she just go to school 2 days a week? Was Ned ever in school? Did I miss something about the time of year? surely it couldn't have been summer with all the jackets, scarves, and boots that were involved in the wardrobe.).
But whatever. It was sweet, almost campy, and a little captivating. I stuck with it--maybe just tuned out when the annoying LA girls came into scene...
"Um, excuse me I have to defuse this bomb.".
