The new cast just didn't connect as well as the 1st one. Perhaps the new plot line just wasn't as good. The new relationships were poorly developed I can see how it was directed at the 2 nana pulling apart.
..but it just wasn't as catching as the 1st, it does seem like the higher budget version of NANA killed the style of the orginal...you can tell some scenes were just there to sell products. And of course the new NANA was a bad choice.
Overall I felt like I was watching a really long seqment of Entertainment Tonight.
