The first one was better - I liked Aoi Miyazaki SO much better as Hachi. The plot seemed very rushed as well...nothing was dwelled on for very long, and the really important scenes weren't given enough emphasis. Didn't end very well, either.
(Also, the Flixster description for this movie is SO wrong).
