Review of Namastey London (2007) by Siddhant J — 27 Oct 2007
Quite amusing. Not the best with songs or dance routines in my opinion, but there is some some quality hammining it up and fun scenes of London.
I particularly liked all the evil English, and the line about how in India Hindus, Muslims and Sihks all just love eachother.
Ashkay Kumar was good, but Katerina Kaif's accent was terrible and totally unbelievable that she had even spent a couple of years in the UK, never mind been brought up there. And I kept having the nasty feeling that she was trying to be serious but just not pulling it off, rather than being intentionally amusing. Top marks to all the parents though - they were great.
Not great, but not dreadful either. Some amusing moments.
