Review of Namastey London (2007) by Private U — 25 Aug 2008
Not a bad film at all. I especially enjoyed hearing Katrina Kaif speak Hindi, with the tinge of an English accent. The film is not that dramatic - its more of a comedy. Katrina Kaif (Jas) is the real star in this one.
Akshay Kumar doesn't do much, other than smile. His passitivity is what wins Jas over eventually (not exactly a stellar plot). The film is supposed to highlight cultural confict between two generations, but it doesn't do a very good job.
I thought this was better than "Ramjey, London Waljey", however. The film is definitely worth it; Katrina Kaif does a superb job.
