Review of Nam Angels (1989) by Mr D — 07 Feb 2012
Nam Angels is just a late 80s retread of 70s drive-in. You could easily confuse it w/ The Losers (Nam's Angels) starring William Smith just not nearly as good. Maybe w/ such a similar title it was sorta meant to be a remake.
Dirty bikers on a military mission seems to come a little late by 88 & even though is familiar ground it's not bad for what it is. There is a lot of gun play which I like & for a cast full of absolute nobodies they are likeable.
Truly plays like one of those movies that were sorta released in the video boom of the 80s like Thunder Warrior. Im sorta surprised that it didn't surface @ my local video store when I was a kid. If it had I would have seen it.
Im just the audience for this no demand cheapness but as I said before it was much better in the 70s but if you like the formula it's easy to watch again.
