Marco Mak doesn't do anything spectacular with Naked Soldier. The story is just under 90 minutes and there is nothing out of the ordinary here. The plot is predictable and the slight twists and turns aren't exciting enough to provide any shocks.

With that said, the story does move with the help of some decent editing. The film does have it's share of action, which ends up as the highlight. The CG is weak, but is used minimally. The stylized martial arts choreography on the other hand is nicely done and the lack of slow motion is a huge benefit for this.

Jennifer Tse ends up as another pretty face. She is supposedly the main character, but there are others that have just as much screen time as her. Her action segments are good, but are overshadowed by Sammo Hung, who fortunately has quite a number of fights.

There isn't much else to say about the rest of the cast, except that Anthony Wong is a surprise.Aside from the action and the lovely Jennifer Tse, there is nothing else to recommend about this film.
