Beyond what most of us could ever concieve this film on the surface is a long drug trip with no concievable plot. One must understand the history behind the author (Burroughs), cronenbers art direction and that this is a bio more than it is based off the actual book.

Far from conceivable and difficult to interpret fantasy from reality, fact from fiction naked lunch is a feast upon the senses and the consious. As already said you must read some back story otherwise you won't understand.
