Review of Naked Lunch (1991) by Jon P — 22 Mar 2013
David Cronenberg devours Bill Burroghs' bizarro book and spews up a sporadic blend of sourced subtleties and signature venereal horror. With Videodrome's air of mystery combined with lifelike gore effects and angsty animatronics, the whole endeavour lives and breathes Cronenberg; offering an entrancing, overwhelming journey into a world which could only possibly be conceived by the most majestic of minds and intrepid of imagination.
Long live the new flesh.
