The meta-textual narrative is disturbing, hard-to-follow, and down-right disgusting, but not unrewarding. Fans of Cronenberg will be able to appreciate the quiet, dirty visuals, strong performances and interesting ideas conveyed in this, one of Cronenberg's most complex films.
