"As a look inside the porn industry itself, it barely scratches the surface." Well, obviously. It's a look at, not a look inside. It's the making-of for a coffee table book. Obviously it's going to be superficial, and at the conclusion of the film that's what Grecco essentially says; "A good portrait leaves you wanting more".
Decent movie about AVN.
