An Indian remake of The Eye was necessary for what reason, exactly? Naina isn't bad as remakes go, but it's almost a scene-for-scene remake of the original film with just enough change to tailor it for an Indian audience... largely by setting it in London and a small Indian village. Otherwise, it is far more similar to the original Chinese version than even the (awful) American remake. Still, since this remake adds nothing other than Indian faces, why bother making it? We don't even get a big Bollywood song-and-dance segment.

The actors are adequate. Annie, the girl in the hospital waiting to have an extra brain removed, wears a cheap skin-head wig that's readily apparent to any non-blind viewer. The actor playing the psychiatrist isn't very good, and he is probably one of the worst, most unethical psychiatrists in the history of medicine.

But, really, if you've seen the original version of The Eye by the Pang brothers, you've already seen a better version of Naina, so why bother with it? Aside from a couple of attractive young Indian women, you're not missing anything by not seeing Naina.
