Review of Nacho Libre (2006) by Ricky G — 03 Nov 2010
A strange mixture of hilarious moments with honestly stupid and boring minutes. Nacho Libre is definitely a kind of unorthodox delivery which entertains in the beginning, but not as much as one with high expectations has probably expected.
It starts quite promising, but goes into mediocrity in the second half, when director Jared Hess fails to explore something more than Jack Black being Jack Black. This becomes a major failure, since towards the end boredom is the most common feeling the audience will probably experience.
Nacho Libre will surely be enjoyed by adolescents, but it might be considered waste of time by those who have had higher expectations.
