Review of Nacho Libre (2006) by Daniel O — 17 Jun 2013
Like a fine wine, I think this actually gets better with every repeat viewing. Initially dismissed as an over the top piece of fluff starring Jack Black, I've come to realise that it has a sweetness that isn't found too often.
It's funny where it needs to be, quirky the rest of the time and occasionally beautiful. Jack Black doesn't exactly deliver a subtle performance but he is charming and engaging. A lot better than you think.
