A little Jack Black goes a long way... in the proper setting (example: "School of Rock", his supporting role in "The Holiday") he's a delight. 92 minutes of his mugging for the camera is decidedly NOT a delight.
To put this in terms my father-in-law will understand: this makes "Joe vs. the Volcano" look like "Citizen Kane.".
