Review of Mystic River (2003) by Wes M — 12 Mar 2011
Another phenomenal film by Eastwood, with top-notch writing and amazing acting across the board (Sean Penn and Tim Robbins knock it out of the park, both Oscars were well deserved). Story had me guessing til the end, and in that respect, it's a great Boston crime drama.
But even though it had a great story to tell, you become more attached to the characters, you feel what each of them is going through. I have a feeling if something similar to this happened in real life, this prolly isn't too far from how it might actually play out.
There were 1-2 minor plotholes, but they weren't a big deal, so I decided to step over them. O, and there were some really cool cinematography shots that I adored. Wow, I guess Eastwood is slowly turning into one of my favorite directors.
