Review of Mystery Train (1989) by Jacob G — 27 Aug 2010
Three interlocking stories show the larger picture of Memphis as a town and its rich musical heritage. Elvis is worshiped and rock and roll extolled as characters enter and exit the screen. While the main characters of each story are compelling in their own way, it is the two clerks at the hotel everyone crashes at that really steal the movie.
Though short, their interactions are an absolute riot and perfectly perfect.
