It's more of a 2.5 star movie. The parts do not add up to the whole. After about 20 minutes, I was ready to turn it off, but then they got to the strip club and I started laughing. There are some genuinely funny moments, but I think the tone is a little off.
It either gets too raunchy or too self aware. The main reason I stuck through it was for Donald Glover. He's great on Community and he really is the main thing holding up this film. Parts of the movie will be fun and funny to quote.
Otherwise, it take some effort to get through.
