Review of Mystery Street (1950) by Jeffrey M — 15 Sep 2008
This was a pretty good noir. The acting and cinematography were decent, but I'm not really a fan of the procedural/docu-noir style. Most of those films play like an advertisement, or like they're promoting some new government policy.
In the case of "Mystery Street", it's an advertisement for the Harvard Medical Crime Lab. That aside, it was interesting to watch a film shot in and around Boston; and Ricardo Montalban was, of course, fantastic.
