The whole plotline was pretty weak (after, what, seven seasons, I think they would've realized that they couldn't "escape") and the characterization of Dr. F as a bad-ass just didn't fit.

Still, it's MST3K, and you can overlook the faults for that fact alone. Plus, the movie they rip is actually entertaining on its own, which gives you Big Entertainment Value$ for Less Cash (TM)!
