Review of Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie (1996) by Robert B — 18 Jan 2010
I'll not review the flick they riffed (This Island Earth) here other than to say I wished they picked a different film as T.I.E. is a pretty boring film. Wached this years ago with a buddy at the movies and thought pretty much the same thing enjoying several of thier episodes more, but I recently saw it again with my kids and they loved it.
I found I liked the MST3K ship scenes featuring the cast the most and still didn't care for the movie riffing segments all that much. It's too bad they never made another Cinema version featuring just the cast minus a film.
(Prequel?) Or make another one with a different movie. Still I feel my $5.00 was well invested (1996 dollars) with Crow singing a WW1 war song and mining his way thru the SOL's hull.
