Review of Mystery Men (1999) by Jason C — 10 Aug 2009

I've waited ten years to see this film. Obviously I've been doing other things in the meantime, but ever since I saw the trailer in 1999 I wanted to see it. Great cast, great idea...and absolutely lousy execution.

A comedy with less than a handful of decent jokes is always going to struggle. Add in some flat direction and pointless dialogue and you've got a recipe for disaster. So, if you happen to see this in the discount DVD section of your local DIY store, do the right thing.

..walk on by. Simply not worth the viewing time.
