Review of Mysterious Skin (2005) by Amy D — 08 Jan 2010
I've been wanting to see this film forever. But I am the queen of procrastination.
Finally I watched it, for a psych project and I was anticipating a disappointment simply because I was expecting so much from it.
It was worth the wait.
This movie is one of the most honest and blunt films I've ever seen. It tells the story exactly how it is, without hesitation, without censorship, and without apologies.
This movie is disturbing and brutal and simply amazing.
I am in love with Joseph Gordan-Levitt. He was brilliant. (I'm now on a mission to download 500 Days of Summer and Brick).
And for the first time ever I actually enjoyed and liked Michelle Trachtenberg.
The whole cast is phenomenal.
The whole movie is phenomenal.
