Review of Mysterious Skin (2005) by Dilan M — 09 Aug 2010
I watched this movie thinking it would be a comedy (since the guy's last movie I've seen was about a stoner and it's got Gordon-Levitt) and quickly realized it was most certainly not. A very disturbing movie, especially scenes with the child abuse and those gay sex scenes (there's a lot).
I thought it was very compelling and realistic (I think) in how it portrayed the effects of child abuse, and the two main leads were terrific. The ending also quite good.
