Review of Mysterious Skin (2005) by Mark C — 28 Aug 2010
An incredibly difficult to watch look at the effects of sexual abuse. I ended up watching most of the film through my fingers. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is fearless, playing the young prostitute in a challenging and very frightening role.
Some may dismiss it because of the harshness and subject matter, but it is something that needs to be talked about.
