Review of Mysterious Skin (2005) by Cylus O — 31 May 2012
A very honest movie with all round excellent performances. Mysterious Skin takes you into the dark world of child sexual abuse and how it has affected two boys lives ever since. It is certainly not a film that everyone will be able to stomach as the subject matter may be quite disturbing to many, but the movie does an excellent job of illuminating the varying effects that abuse causes.
If you are able to stomach the show though it will be a resonant experience.
