I think the best film about child abuse and it's aftermath I've ever seen. Manages brutally graphic contexts without being visually gratuitous. Words are used to great effect in this film. It's excellent & upsetting. Recommended.
Robin Guthrie's soundtrack is quite beautiful, and gives the film a haunting and beautiful mood that makes the whole thing work, imo.
