Review of My Week with Marilyn (2011) by Daniel E — 24 Mar 2013
A light, slightly unsubstantial, but nevertheless well-played and moving portrait of the complicated star, as seen through the eyes of the young Third Assistant Director who fell in love with the person behind the public image.
You end the movie with little more understanding of Munroe as you had at the start, and then you realize that is the point. A bit choppy, but the performances and well juggled tones make it a fine rental.
