Review of My Week with Marilyn (2011) by Manuel S — 06 Dec 2013
What the hell took me so long to see this? It was one of those I wanted to see in theaters than forgot about once it left. But man it is a wonderful flick. Michelle Williams steals my heart every time I watch her now which is fitting since that's exactly what Marilyn did in her too brief career.
Williams is gem, a true gem. Around her is as talented a cast as you are likely to find. Brannagh is brilliant as Larry Olivier and I can totally get why Eddie Redmayne was cast as the romantic lead in Les Mis.
Yep, still 100% in love with Emma Watson. The period piece coupled with a look at Hollywood Behind the Scenes in it's golden age is exquisitely represented here and instantly transport you back in time.
I love this f'ing movie.
