Review of My Way (2012) by Steve W — 24 Apr 2012
From the director of TaeGukGi comes another epic war film. This time around, rival marathon runners Kim Jun-Shik and Tatsuo Hasegawa both find themselves fighting for Imperial Japan. They get captured in a vicious battle and fight for the Soviets, and then eventually fight for the Germans on D-Day.
Director Je-kyu Kang explores Korea/Japanese cultures clashing with intense war scenes. It's a little cliched in some areas, but its steeped in character development and a fine musical score which makes for a very satisfying experience.
