Review of My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006) by John K — 22 Feb 2009

This is an odd subject for a comedy; having someone stalked by a violent ex-lover would normally be quite a heavy subject. I think they get away with it here, since the film is quite light-hearted, but the only bits that made me laugh were right at the end (after the problems had been resolved).

Still, there were some interesting ideas; in particular, it's quite common to have superhero films where the hero has to make excuses to leave (so that they can save the day), but I think this is the first time I've seen a film where other people are trying to nudge them into it.
