Review of My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006) by Baurushan J — 17 Jun 2012
There's nothing really to say about this film I mean yeah it's creative, it's funny, it has all the superhero cliches you can find and turns it into a comedy which is what's it's supposed to do because it is a comedy.
The story starts off as Jenny who falls in love with Matt and it turns out that Jenny has an alter ego known as G-Girl. Then there is this bad guy named Professor Bedlam who wants to take away her powers so that he can tell her the truth of what happened when they were at a college party in the forest.
He first tells this to Matt about how a meteorite-like rock landed in the woods and Jenny touched that and that's was the day she became G-Girl at the same time forgetting about him. So Matt decides to leave Jenny to Bedlam so that he can explain what happened to her that night and builds romance with another girl named Hannah.
This makes Jenny angry and a fight builds up but Bedlam takes away jenny's powers with the remaining piece of rock he had back then. Hannah and Jenny both try to touch the rock and they both get their powers at the same time but the fight stops as Matt explains what Bedlam told him and Jenny reunites with him as Hannah who is now also super-powered gets back with Matt and you guessed it, they all happily ever after! This comedy was halfway decent at the very least, it was fun to watch and was definitely funny at times.
My Super Ex-Girlfriend gets a weak 8/10.
