Review of My Summer of Love (2005) by Benny W — 01 Feb 2008
Beguiling and hypnotic throughout, Pawlikowski's drama transcends aestetical archetypes of contemporary British cinema. There is a vibrancy here that renders even the most industrious landscapes with a shimmering lucidity.
Nathalie Press and Paddy Considine offset the elegant visual composition with exquisitely naturalistic performances, refined through improvisation. Utterly singular and dripping with unspoken eroticism.
