At first the camera zooms were very jarring to me. they pissed me off. Then as I the movie went on, I got used to them. It seemed like the characters were being watched. so that was interesting. There really wasnt any point to this movie at all. It only proved that people will lie to you. the plot (if there even was one) was very well hidden. I wondered if this movie was going to go anywhere, but it seemed to have stayed in its own little la la land. the pacing of the film wasnt slow or anything, it was just right, and had me interested the whole time because the characters were so messed up, but the ending felt empty and left me wanting more. I guess this movie was really more about character study, than about story. for example, one observation I made was that the ugly one was like her brother even though she didnt want to be. She wasnt physically like him, but mentally she was. they both believed in something. She believed in love and he believed in god. They both yearned for more in their life (her: the hot girl, Him: salvation). and of course, the obvious similarity was their anger.

There were a few points in the movie where I thought something was going to happen and make a story, but nothing ever did. Like I thought that the hot girl was going to convert to christianity or leave the ugly girl for her brother. Then I thought that they would eventually kill the brother, but that never happened.

so yeah.. if you want to study character, then see this movie, but dont expect a story.
