My Summer of Love is a story about friendship and love, family and life. It takes up a very important subject but at the same time there is so much that the movie doesn't mention that it doesn't feel as important when watching it.

There were some things that were just plain difficult to put together. The age of the two girls, their chemistry, the transition from friendship to love. This could sometimes make the movie feel slightly unreal and you didn't really know what to think of it.

Overall it was a slow movie that you never really got into. It was a great storyline though with some shocking consequences, but it could have been a lot better.
