Having always been a fan of Wes Craven's earlier works, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw he had decided to write and direct another horror film. However... I was not pleasantly surprised with the movie itself, just surprised at how little sense it seemed to make coupled with its all-around mundane back story and weighed-down special effects.
The overall plot's descent enough, but compared to A Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream, it didn't do much for me.
