Review of My Soul to Take (2010) by Eve W — 22 Apr 2011
A great premise and great story that could have started a new mythology of slashers but sadly falls flat. The execution is terrible, the characters are horrendous, the dialog is even worst. The kills are some of the most boring and dull in slasher history.
I've never seen a worse and/or dumber depiction of high school in the history of cinema. Yet, somewhere buried beneath this terrible film, is Wes Craven's style. Somehow, the ending was good and I almost cared about the characters.
Wes Craven is still a great director but god forbid he ever attempt to write another script. (2.5/10).
