Review of My Soul to Take (2010) by Thomas W — 27 Apr 2011
Wes Craven's tired attempt at being "great" again. The Thrill-Master doesn't deliver with this cliche-laden monster of a movie. It is painfully stupid ... from beginning to end. A small river town has seven children born on the EXACT same day that a murderer went on a killing spree and apparently then died in a river.
His soul is still lingering about and either wants to take their souls or inhabit one of their bodies. The film's entire premise lacks logic (THAT town is too small to have seven kids born on the EXACT same day .
.. duh) and so I had a difficult time allowing the rest of the story to unfold. Screams and blood and no chills. Boo! It is Horror-able.
