Review of My Soul to Take (2010) by Ningú P — 12 Jun 2011
This is a messy, convoluted and amateurish film. The opening is unnecessarily confusing, and the plot doesn't get any better from there. Characters are American teen stereotypes (characters named "Brandon" and "Brittany), and some of the acting is appalling.
A great deal of the film doesn't even feel like a horror, more of a teen comedy flick (a bad one). It's hard to believe that it was directed by the man behind two of horror's most successful franchises, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Scream.
Wes Craven really dropped the ball with this one.
