My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done is one of the worst films of 2009. It's a completely unfocused mess with some of the most laughable dialogue I've ever heard. There were so many scenes and moments that made me sigh and roll my eyes, wondering when the stupidity would finally come to an end.
Michael Shannon is laughable, and the supporting cast is almost completely terrible. In fact, Willem Dafoe is the only capable performer in the whole ensemble. One point for him, the other for the shot of the oatmeal rolling out of the garage.
That was nice.
