Review of My Sister's Keeper (2009) by Marlon U — 06 Apr 2012
I admit I was the one who wanted to watch this movie and I dragged Margo to go see it (she doesn't like tearjerker movies). In the end though I came away unimpressed. It was entertaining nonetheless. The twist was a little predictable. Breslin was great as usual.
The whole reason why I wanted to watch the movie was because of its premise. A girl fights to have the right to her own body against parents who made her for "spare parts". I love it. The movie ended it alright by humanizing the whole concept. I guess it just lacked execution. There was a long part that was a flashback. It was maybe 20 minutes long.
In the end, it was nice to see the movie wrap it up the way they did.
