It is very hard for Scientology to say that Theroux was just doing another hatchet job. The best parts of the movie are when Theroux films them while they are filming him. The cult comes off as being very unchurchlike, in fact they are downright creepy and it doesn't seem to be from Theroux's slick editing.
If any cult member watches this film they will wonder how they can any longer support an organization that acts the way Scientology does. All others who watch will wonder why anyone at all would want to be part of Scientology.
